In addition to more rapid and convenient charging, Li Yujun further explained that the optical storage and replacement station can also rely on photovoltaic power generation systems, energy storage systems, and battery replacement systems (battery packs) to operate off-grid and provide electricity to surrounding areas. In the long run, when the storage and replacement station has reached a certain scale, it can form a distributed energy interconnection system and become an important strategic energy resource reserve.

Why Build a Distributed Energy Interconnect System? With the introduction of the "double-point" management method and the ban on the sale of fuel vehicles on the research agenda, new energy vehicles have a great momentum of development. At the same time, an urgent problem to be solved is that the new energy vehicles sold in recent years gradually entered a recession, and how should the retired batteries be disposed of? What is even more worrying is that the new-energy vehicles on the road that are on the way are impacting the structure and operational safety of traditional grids from the distribution side, and the new demand for electricity will also be a major challenge for the environmental protection of electricity and energy.

Industry experts said that the release of the "Optimus Prime Plan" marks the transition to the "2.0 era" of the power-changing mode - the upgrade of the power station to the "power-change + energy storage + photovoltaic" smart micro-grid system. The energy storage equipment retired from the retired batteries uses photovoltaic power generation, the State Grid Peak Valley Power, etc. to power the vehicle's power battery.

Zhang Yong introduced that the project is expected to invest 10 billion yuan and be implemented in three phases: the first phase (2016-2017), 100 built replacement stations and more than 4,000 operating vehicles to achieve comprehensive utilization of energy storage batteries 100MWh (100,000 kWh); Phase II (2018-2020), 1,000 conversion stations completed, 100,000 vehicles to be operated, 1GWh (1 million kWh) of integrated energy storage batteries for ladders, and Phase 3 (2021) Year -2022) 3,000 light-storage and power-changing stations have been built, 500,000 vehicles have been operated, and 5GWh of ladder-level energy storage batteries have been used.
