Maravedis believes that the development of the LTE modem itself is not the most complicated aspect of the global LTE market. For LTE chipset vendors, interoperability, seamless switching, network architecture expertise and management of different bandwidths may be the most challenging obstacles.
Maravedis pointed out in his report that WiMAX and LTE are integrated on the basis of 4G technical service capabilities. Now, the fastest 3G operators are unlikely to deploy LTE in large numbers before the beginning of 2012.
