According to the data reported by the Labor Council, there are 48 enterprises that have implemented unpaid leave in Taiwan. The actual unpaid leave is about 5021 people, of which 16 factories have 121 employees, and the labor council has indicated that it has sent “stable employment”. The counseling group came to the factory to assist 8 companies.

According to Pan Shiwei, deputy director of the Labor Council, 48 manufacturers are scattered in different counties and cities, and most of them are concentrated in science parks. The industry is not the solar photovoltaic, LED industry, printed circuit boards, etc. 3 months to 5 months.

Lai Shuli, the chief secretary of the Vocational Training Council of the Labor Affairs Council, said that among the 48 unpaid leave manufacturers, 16 of them have staffed and the total number of employees is 121. The factors of the transfer are related to the closure of the factory.

Chen Huiling, Director of Labor Conditions of the Labor Committee, pointed out that according to the data reported by the counties and municipalities, the notified manufacturers basically reached a written or verbal labor agreement, but three of them were fined for paying the salary without the basic salary. The fine is NT$20,000 to 300,000.

According to the statistics of the Taiwan Executive Yuan Labor Committee as of November 12, there were 75 unpaid fake manufacturers, affecting 36,400 people, which is quite different from the data of the Labor Committee. The Taiwan Electronic and Electrical Information Industry Trade Union provided a list of 63 unpaid fake manufacturers in early November. The Labor Committee intervened in 30 investigations and found that 18 of them did not implement unpaid leave.

Lin Mingzhe, secretary-general of the Electric Power Union, recently called for the Labor Committee to go to the company for inspection, and should ask the staff without the knowledge of the employer to avoid being deceived by one-sided listening to the letter.
