Sony PSV underperforming global sales is only one tenth of 3DS

VGChartz recently announced global game hardware sales as of March 10, 2012, of which 3DS sales were more than 16 million, which is about 10 times that of PSV.

The sales volume of PSV two days before its listing was 321,407, but it still fell to 371,326 units of 3DS. Shortly after the launch of the 3DS game console, sales began to decline, which resulted in Nintendo reducing the price of 3DS game consoles and lowering the company’s profit forecast this year.

Sony acknowledged that it was a mistake to introduce a 32GB memory card when the PS Vita was released in Europe. Fergal Gara, vice president of Sony Computer Entertainment UK, said on Tuesday: “We have learned from the early sales of PS Vita in Japan. We may not have enough memory cards to launch in the UK market. But we have already taken Measures to obtain larger capacity memory cards and they are imported into the UK market."

In 3DS, President Nintendo Iwata also said in the 3rd quarter performance briefing: "At present, the sale of 3DS in Asia is planned to begin in the next fiscal year. The specific release date and price will be released locally. Please look forward to further news."

In addition, VGChartz has published the sales data report of the US game market in November. The report also mentioned that 3DS performed well and the sales volume increased significantly.
