Samsung Note7 iris recognition is very good is a little bad

According to the Washington Post website, Galaxy Note 7 is the newest member of the Samsung Galaxy Note series of flat-panel mobile phones. Samsung provided the Galaxy Note 7 to the Washington Post for evaluation. Overall, this phone is beautiful in appearance and powerful in processing. But its high price may scare off some users.

Samsung Note7 iris recognition is very good, it is a bit bad

The Samsung mobile phone display is known for its amazing, Galaxy Note 7 is no exception. The dark black background and bright colors make it display bright images – although sometimes not so natural.

The 5.7-inch display is quite large and it is very comfortable to watch the video. Even with a large display, the Galaxy Note 7 doesn't feel bulky in your hands. I am not tall, although I can't touch the top of the screen when I hold the Galaxy Note 7 with one hand, I don't feel heavy at all. Its call quality and overall audio performance are excellent.

Note 7 battery life is comparable to the Galaxy S7. Before writing the review manuscript, I tried Note 7 for a long time, so it is difficult to judge the accuracy of the above statement. But I think that the Note 7 battery in normal use mode persists for one day without problems. However, if users run high-energy applications—such as playing Pokemon Go, they might still want to carry a charger.

The Washington Post said that similar to the previous Galaxy Note series, Note 7 can be wirelessly charged using the Samsung charging pad. It also supports the "fast charge" mode, which can charge a significant portion of the power in a relatively short period of time. But one major difference from previous models is that Note 7 uses a USB-C interface charger. The advantage of this charger is that the user can plug in the phone at will and never insert it. One of its disadvantages is that users cannot charge Note 7 with the charging cable of other Samsung devices.

Note 7 also features a waterproof design. I immersed the mobile phone under review in the sink and used it underwater (even with a stylus) without any impact. I do not recommend users to use Note 7 underwater. If the charging interface is wet, it will display an alarm message. However, even if the phone accidentally falls into the water, the user does not have to panic.

Iris scanner

A big new feature of Note 7 is the iris scanner. To activate the iris scanner, the user must slide the finger up on the lock screen. When scanning against the eye, an LED will flash - but don't worry, it won't blind the user. Although I wear contact lenses and glasses, the Note 7 iris scan does not have any problems, but the eye scan time will be slightly longer, but still faster than entering the password. Note 7 requires the user to enter the password as an alternate security method.

Is the iris scanner better than a fingerprint scanner? Frankly, it may not be. The iris scanner is great, but the fingerprint scanner performs equally well. Note 7 is a large-size phone, so the iris scanner makes it more reliable to unlock it, but if you are used to using a fingerprint scanner, you don't have to switch to an iris scanner.

Stylus

According to The Washington Post, the distinguishing feature of the Note series is the S Pen or the stylus. In the past few years, Samsung has been increasing the use of S Pen. Note 7 can conveniently use S Pen to write handwritten notes and annotate images on mobile phones.

The S Pen is fast, fluid, and responsive. As far as I am concerned, it is still faster to use paper and take notes, but the convenience of taking notes on the phone is not to be denied. Note 7 (similar to its predecessor) also allows users to take notes directly on the lock screen—assuming the user needs to quickly record something. If you like to use pen to write and draw, S Pen may be the biggest selling point of Note 7.

Comparison with other mobile phones

Many reviews call Note 7 the most beautiful phone in Samsung's history, which is a fair judgment. In terms of features, I agree that Note 7 is better than the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge.

In terms of performance, Note 7 is comparable to other flagship models on the market. There is a video showing that Apple iPhone 6s outperforms Note 7 in performance testing. The tests I conducted showed that Note 7 performance was slightly higher than the iPhone that had been available for a year. In fact, I noticed that Note 7 is slightly slower than the iPhone or Galaxy S7 in opening and (especially) switching applications, but the gap is small.

If you have to find out the flaws of Note 7, it is the price. Note 7 bare metal price can be up to 900 US dollars (about RMB). Because of its high price, users may expect to outperform all other competitors. Although it exceeds other mobile phones on the market, high prices may discourage users.
