On September 8, 2016, Dalian United Holdings, a leading semiconductor component distributor dedicated to the Asia-Pacific market, announced that its subsidiary has launched Smarttek's Ameba (RTL8711A series) IoT chip based on Realtek. Plug solution.

In order to meet different applications of customers, Realtek offers a complete miniaturized module Ameba (RTL8711A series), which allows customers to easily use this module in a variety of end products.

Realtek's Ameba IoT chip, which is used by the company, has polar power consumption and is especially suitable for battery-powered products. In addition to the high-performance ARM Cortex-M3 CPU, built-in memory, etc., Ameba also supports complex wireless network protocols, SSL hardware acceleration circuits, and various interfaces such as UART, I2C, SPI, and PWM. Ameba also integrates ADC, DAC interface, high-speed SDIO interface and USB, providing a quick and easy design solution that allows customers to directly connect external sensor components to complete IoT end products with minimal peripheral components. For the online settings, Ameba also supports Apple WAC in the software.
