The input circuits of various types of plc are roughly the same, and there are usually three types. One is DC 12 ~ 24V input, the other is AC 100 ~ 120V, 200 ~ 240V input, the third is AC and DC input. The external input device can be a passive contact or an active sensor input. These external devices must be connected to the PLC through the PLC terminal, and a closed active circuit must be formed, so the power must be supplied.
1 Passive Switch Wiring The FX 2N series PLC has only DC input, and inside the PLC, the input terminal is connected to the internal 24V power supply positive terminal, and the COM terminal is connected to the negative terminal. See Figure 1. In this way, its passive switch-type input does not require a separate power supply. This is very different from other PLCs. When using other PLCs in the future, be careful to read the instructions carefully.
2 The proximity switch's wiring proximity switch itself requires a power supply drive and outputs a switch sensor with a certain voltage or current. Switching sensors are available in a variety of ways depending on their principle, but they can be divided into three categories according to their signal lines: two-wire, three-wire, and four-wire. Among them, the four-wire type may provide one moving contact and one breaking contact at the same time. In practice, only one of them is used; or the fourth line is the sensor check line, and the check line does not match the PLC input. connected. Therefore, in either case, you can refer to the three-wire wiring. Figure 2 is a schematic diagram of the connection of the PLC to the sensor.
The two-wire type is a signal line and a power line. The three-wire type is the positive, negative and signal lines of the power supply. The wires of different functions are represented by different colors. The definition of this color has different definition methods. Please refer to the relevant manual when using. A common color definition is shown in Figure 2(b). When the signal line is black, it is a moving type; when it is black, it is a white wire. The illustrated sensor is an NPN type and is a commonly used form. For the PNP type sensor connected to the PLC, this connection cannot be copied. Refer to the corresponding information.
3 Rotary Encoder Wiring Rotary Encoders provide high speed pulse signals and are often used in CNC machine tools and industrial controls. The frequency and phase of the output of different types of encoders are also different. Some encoders output A, B, C three-phase pulses, some only two-phase pulses, and some only one-phase pulse (such as phase A), the frequency is 100 Hz, 200Hz, 1k Hz, 2k Hz and so on. When the frequency is low, the PLC can respond; when the frequency is high, the PLC can't respond. At this time, the output signal of the encoder should be connected to the special function module, and the FX 2N -11C adopts the FX 2N -11HC high-speed counting module. Figure 3 is a schematic diagram of the interface between the FX 2N PLC and OMRON's E6A2-C series rotary encoder.
