Zhongzhao Award: Shaanxi Famen Temple Heshita Stupa Night Lighting Project

Shaanxi Famen Temple Heshita Stupa Night Lighting Project won the fifth Zhongzhao Award Lighting Engineering Design Award. The second reporting unit: Beijing Guangdian Disai Lighting Equipment Installation Engineering Co., Ltd.

The Famen Temple is a Buddhist building. It was designed and designed by the famous Taiwanese architect Li Zuyuan. It is a combination of hands and fingers. The tower is 148 meters high, which is equivalent to 50 stories. There is a pagoda in the middle of the Buddha’s relic. In the front of the building, there is a 1,500-meter-long “Fo Guang Avenue” in front of the stupa, and granite statues are carved on both sides. The total construction area is 76,690 square meters, of which 60,225 square meters on the ground and 16,465 square meters on the ground floor. The total height of the project is 148 meters and the width is 54 meters (the width of the skirt room is 253 meters). The special shape of the ten hands is not only inheriting the characteristics of Buddhist architecture, but also integrating the essence of ancient and modern Chinese and foreign architecture with modern technology. For example, the glass curtain is the crystallization of modern technology. The Manizhu and the Lotus Terrace also contain the style and spirit of traditional Indian Buddhist architecture, which inject new vitality into the Buddhist architecture and show a new look. Became the Buddha's referee center and the center of Buddhist culture in the 21st century.

The shape of the ten-studded stupa is a combination of ten hands and ten hands, indicating the ritual characteristics, basic ideas and the basic will of mankind to pursue peace. In the shape of the hands together, the included tang tower shows the perfect integration of history and modernity. In the space of the hands together, there are three bodies, three Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, which shows that this is the universe of law. The whole project was started in October 2006. In October 2007, the night lighting project was put into construction. It was officially opened on May 9, 2009. On May 9th, the Buddhist temple of Famen Temple was completed and the stupa was completed. In the Feng Dian, the night lighting project has been well received by all parties concerned.
