Since the high-voltage linear constant current LED driver eliminates electrolytic capacitors and high-frequency inductors, the comparative switching power supply has inherent advantages such as low cost, convenient production and installation, no EMI interference, long lamp life, and simple intelligent dimming. “Taking the four-stage linear constant current scheme commonly used in the market as an example, the luminaire efficiency is generally below 85%, and the single IC can drive up to 9W applications. At the same time, there will be problems such as 100Hz strobe and low wick utilization.” It is said that the SDS3108 series high-order segmented constant current chip that will be launched at this exhibition will completely solve the above bottleneck.

This chip combines the patented technologies of “high-order segmentation”, “dynamic configuration” and “capacitor valley filling” independently developed by Suihua Technology. Based on the inherent advantages of high-voltage linear constant current, the power supply indicators are improved. To even exceed the level of the switching power supply, and completely overcome the problem of 100Hz strobe and low wick utilization, it provides a true switch-off power solution for LED lamps.

"For the most common 18W fluorescent lamp application, for example, the SDS3108 can directly drive 84 2835 wicks with a power efficiency >90%, luminaire efficacy >110lm/W, PF>0.85, stroboscopic depth <10%, 90~260V Voltage working range."

According to Chen Hengyu, the "high-order segmentation" technology adopts a control scheme in which N-type switches and P-type switches cooperate with each other, and realizes twelve-segment linear constant current drive with only a small cost cost, and heat dissipation power. Compared with the four-stage linear constant current chip, the power consumption is reduced by 60%, and the power efficiency is up to a record of 93%, which provides a solid platform for the application of "dynamic configuration" and "capacitor filling" technologies.


The "dynamic configuration" technology changes the series structure of the LED light string to a parallel structure when the full-wave rectification voltage is low, which solves the problem of low utilization of the LED wick. The "capacitor-filling" technique is applied to the full wave by applying a 1uF chip capacitor. The LED light string is powered near the rectified zero voltage, which solves the 100Hz strobo problem. The combination of “dynamic configuration” and “capacitor-filling” technology achieves a constant output power of the power supply during the full cycle of full-wave rectification, thus completely solving the ills of high-frequency linear constant current scheme with deep strobe and low utilization of wick.
