VR Network learned that Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province recently signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Tianjin University to establish the “Tianjin University Microtechnology Research Institute†in the high-tech zone of the city, with MEMS (micromechanical electronic system) R&D as the core and R&D for mobile applications. Terminals, Internet of Things, virtual reality engineering, wearable devices, aerospace engineering, life bioengineering, and other key devices such as microsensors and microactuators.
Tianjin University President Zhong Denghua and Nanchang Mayor Guo An signed a strategic cooperation agreement for the establishment of the Institute of Microtechnology
The two sides will give full play to their respective advantages and strengthen cooperation in talent introduction, technological innovation, industrial transformation and upgrading. Nanchang City will invest 1 billion yuan for talent introduction, platform construction, project research, and 50 sets of talented apartments for R&D personnel. The city will also plan to establish a MEMS industrial park in the Hi-tech Zone as a research and development industrialization base for scientific research achievements, promote the formation of MEMS industrial clusters, and focus on upgrading the level of industrial development and the level of transformation and upgrading. Tianjin University will make full use of its advantages in resources and introduce 30 to 50 top talents in the MEMS field at home and abroad in 3-5 years. Talents qualified for Tianjin University’s teaching conditions will be included in the Tianjin University’s teacher preparation to solve the problem of introducing top talents. Problems, and actively apply to create a national engineering (technology) research center, and strive to build a domestic first-class R & D platform.
At the same time, Tianjin University will, in the Unified Examination for Enrollment and Admission for Higher Education, further intensify its policy on Nanchang's enrollment policy within the limits of the Ministry of Education's policy, actively build excellent student bases, and conduct extensive teacher lectures.
