CMIC: China's electronic components are expected to enter a steady growth period

The latest release of CMIC (China Market Intelligence Center): In the context of China's economic growth and transformation, China's electronics industry faces market opportunities, but to seize these opportunities, it still depends on the company's own R & D capabilities. The key to seizing these opportunities is to realize industrial upgrading, move from mid to low-end products to the mid-to-high end, and improve product competitiveness. During the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, domestic electronic components manufacturing industry ushered in huge business opportunities.

The global electronic components market experienced the trough during the global financial crisis of 2008-2009 and ushered in an explosive growth in 2010. According to statistics from the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), the global semiconductor industry's output value reached a new high in 10 years in 2010, which was US$ 295.3 billion, a substantial increase of approximately 34.4% year-on-year. The level of the last semiconductor industry in the world lasted only 2-3 years before returning to the recession in 2001. This time it took only one year to fully recover the market.

The global semiconductor market experienced a large recession from 2001 to 2004 - after a period of rapid recovery, it maintained a relatively stable annual growth rate for many years. It is expected that by 2011, after the explosive growth of the global electronic components industry in 2010, the entire market growth is Gradually slowing, and it is expected to return to normal growth. The whole year is expected to show low growth in the first half of the year and high seasonal growth in the second half of the year.

LED lighting has the advantages of high luminous efficiency, low power consumption, long life, pure light, high stability, strong security, environmental protection and many other traditional light sources can not be compared, is a green environmental protection lighting technology. In the context of energy conservation and emission reduction, the advent of LED lighting has no doubt. In 2010, the market size of LED applications in China reached 90 billion yuan, a substantial increase of 50% year-on-year, of which the output value of the general lighting sector grew fastest, exceeding 150%. As promising LED prospects, major manufacturers are actively involved in all aspects of the LED industry chain.

From 2010 to 2011, LED epitaxial chip production capacity expansion speed (mainly Blu-ray) significantly exceeds the growth rate of downstream application output value. From the equipment's debugging cycle, LED will be released in the next 1-2 years. Because China lacks the core technology of epitaxial chips, the competition is still mainly reflected in the low-end, small-size chips. With the release of production capacity, the pressure of oversupply will gradually begin to appear in the second half of the year. In the second quarter of 2010, the price of small-size blue LED chips was loosened. For the encapsulation process, the technical threshold applied to low-end packaging such as home appliances, display screens, mobile phone backlights, and landscape lighting is relatively low. The homogeneity of domestic enterprises is serious and the competition is fierce.

At present, LED lighting has matured into commercial general lighting. For long-term use, the energy-saving effect of LED fluorescent lamps is very obvious. With 5 hours and 12 hours of use each day, comparing the total cost of LEDs and fluorescent lamps, it can be seen that the energy saving effect of LEDs exceeds that of fluorescent lamps by about 6 years and 2.5 years, respectively. In the future, with the improvement of energy-saving awareness, LED application products will usher in the opportunity of rapid popularization.

In the chip segment, Dry Photo Optoelectronics is a leader in domestic red-yellow LED chips. Red-yellow light is widely used in backlighting, display screens, and general-purpose lighting. The industry's capacity expansion rate is small, and demand has exceeded expectations. The soaring of phosphors prompted the technology plan for red chips to replace some of the phosphors gradually being accepted by manufacturers, opening the industry's growth potential for red and yellow chips.
