Tablet market into a key Great Wall will push 10 Tablets!

Today, the author was informed that Zhou Gengshen, president of Great Wall Computer, said that next year he will focus on building the tablet PC market and will launch at least 10 tablet PCs next year.

Zhou Gengshen further mentioned in the interview that the batch of tablet computers will also include the Windows system models under the x86 architecture focusing on industrial applications, and the Android system models that are more suitable for consumer use of the ARM architecture.

As for the partners, Zhou Gengshen explained that the Great Wall is currently preparing for construction, including Shanda Games, Cool 6 Video, Shanda Literature, Music, and local newspapers. Moreover, on August 21, Great Wall Computer reportedly reached a strategic agreement with the Suzhou Press Group to implant its media content into the Great Wall Tablet PC. Zhou Gengshen predicts that “tablet PCs will exceed netbook sales volume in two years and may approach notebook sales volume within a few years. This market will have very broad space for future development.”

It is reported that the Great Wall has successfully released the Gpad tablet in April this year. The product uses a 7-inch LCD screen, equipped with an ARM processor, 256MB of memory, 4GB of flash memory, and supports 1 ~ 32GB SD card. In addition, the tablet also has built-in HDMI high-definition interface, supports full-format 1080p HD video, FLASH playback, running Microsoft WinCE6.0 R3 operating system, also built-in WiFi, 3G modules and cameras.
