Huashang spends 30 million U.S. dollars to set up a factory in Jiangsu

Taiwan Plant Huayi plans to invest 30 million US dollars in the establishment of LED epitaxial plant Huashang Optoelectronics in Wujiang, Jiangsu, China. The company will hold 100% of its shares and the local government will provide subsidy funds.

According to Guo Kaiyuan, general manager of Huashang, it is expected that the Jiangsu new plant will introduce 10 MOCVD machines at the end of this year and formally put into production. By the middle of 2011, the number of MOCVD machines will reach 20, and a total of 150 MOCVD machines will be introduced within five years. .

As for the “Changzhi Hi-Tech Huashang Optoelectronics Co., Ltd.” established by China Eastern and Changzhi High-tech Industries in mainland China, Guo Kaiyuan stated that the case was approved by the Taiwanese authorities 3-4 weeks ago, and Changzhi has already invested funds for the introduction of related equipment. It can be put into production before the end of the year.

According to Huashang’s internal disclosure, benefiting from the subsidies provided by the governments of various parts of mainland China to the LED upstream industry and the reduction in the cost of capacity building, China will expand its production in mainland China, and Taiwan’s factories should no longer invest in capacity expansion.
